I don't know what Gladys H is talking about. The new owners took over in 2006 and have improved all aspects of this restaurant. Thte service is great, and the prices are the best in town. THe place is clean and bright and decorated with a very homey atmoshere. THe new owners added several new items to the menu. The haddock and country style ribs are very good and the prime rib is excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a nice affordable night out on the town.

Despite the reputation for being a good place to get a home style meal, I do not care to ever visit the Country Post again. The wait staff does not pay much attention to you at all if you are not a daily customer. The food quality is not what I expected from the raves I had heard about this place. I was quite unimpressed overall with my entire experience at this restaurant more than once and do not plan to go back to it.
